Star Wars Fan Filmmaker Says Disney Stole His Work - IGN
3+ day, 13+ hour ago (299+ words) A Star Wars fan filmmaker has accused Disney of directly copying a fight sequence he created, and re-using it shot-for-shot within an episode of Star Wars: Visions. The sequence, including its fight choreography and camera angles, appears identical in a 12-second video posted to Instagram by fan Lorenz Hideyoshi, showing his unofficial work side-by-side with a clip from the Disney+ animated show. "When Disney blatantly steals your action design," reads a caption on the video, which contrasts Visions' 2023 episode The Bandits of Golak with Hideyoshi's own Dark Jedi: A Star Wars Story, a short film he released in December 2019 via YouTube. "I mean they already had a different weapons setup, but still managed to brute force (push) my choreo onto that action," Hideyoshi wrote. "Didn't even change the camera angles." "Why Disney?" he continued. "Is it because we made a…...

6+ day, 17+ hour ago (362+ words) The Mandalorian and Grogu will show a "changed" version of the Disney+ series' helmeted hero, director Jon Favreau has said, following three seasons of character growth. Din Djarin's big screen debut will pick up the character's story following the events of The Mandalorian's third season finale, which saw the bounty finally hang up his blaster for something of a quieter life looking after Baby Yoda, AKA Grogu. By this point, Djarin has established himself as a hero to more than the audience " he's caught the attention of the New Republic and is brushing shoulders with Star Wars Rebels' Zeb Orrelios. And it's this journey that viewers will see continue next year, Favreau teased. "The Mandalorian has changed his priorities," Favreau told Empire. "One of the last things we say [in Season 3] is, like, 'I don't want to go out there…...

The Fourth Wing Special Edition Books Are Buy 2, Get 1 Free Ahead of Black Friday Save on the full Wing and Claw collection. The Empyrean series has been my guilty pleasure since I first read Fourth Wing. Rebecca Yarros's approach to weaving together fantasy, romance, and character development makes it one of the best romantasy reads out there. The series has been extremely popular at Amazon's Kindle store all year long with the release of the third book, Onyx Storm, but it's also sold extremely well in terms of physical book sales. If you're like me and chose to devour these novels via reading tablet, you'll…...

1+ week, 4+ day ago (280+ words) We've officially entered Black Friday season, which seems to kick off earlier every year. Amazon has announced a spread of discounts to anticipate later in the month, but the retailer has already launched one of my personal favorite sales: a solid 'Buy 2 Get 1 Free' sale on books. If you're new to these Amazon sales, here's the deal: When you add three eligible items to your cart, the cheapest one will be automatically discounted to $0. It's worth picking up three things at similar price points for maximum savings, but you can also loop in everything from the (eligible) books, comics, and manga sections. My Hero Academia is currently airing its final season, so it's a better time than ever to check out K'hei Horikoshi's source material. Along similar lines, you can pick up individual volumes from Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw…...
The Lord of the Rings Deluxe Illustrated Editions Are Buy 2, Get 1 Free Before Black Friday - IGN
1+ week, 5+ day ago (296+ words) I'll be the first to admit that I own too many books. My shelves are full and I have absolutely no room for anything else. And yet whenever Amazon has one of its buy 2, get 1 free book sales, I can't help but browse the full selection. With the latest sale including all of the deluxe illustrated Lord of the Rings books, I find myself looking to clear some space. The Hobbit and Silmarillion Deluxe Illustrated editions aren't nearly as massive, but they too include illustrations and notes from Tolkien himself. They also include the same etched slipcases to match the design of the big red tome. So with that in mind, I'd suggest taking advantage of this deal if you're looking to buy the full collection and waiting for Black Friday if you only want to buy a single volume....
